This policy explains what information the Hush mobile app collects, how it is used, and your rights.
Hush · Daily Journal ("Hush", "the app") is a reflective journaling application designed and published by Sera Dilara Ceylan, a Certified Co-Active Coach operating from Türkiye.
She is the data controller for any personal information processed in connection with the Hush app. For privacy questions, contact details are available through the App Store listing.
Hush is built around a simple promise: your journal entries live on your device only. We do not upload, copy, read, store, or back up the content you write inside the app. They are stored in your device's local storage and, if you have your device's own backup enabled (Apple iCloud Backup), they are encrypted and backed up by your device's operating system — not by us, and not visible to us.
If you delete the app, or use the in-app "Delete all data" command in Settings, your reflections are permanently removed from your device. We have no copy to restore.
We collect only what is needed to operate the app and improve it.
We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
Local journal data: kept on your device until you delete the app or use "Delete all data" in Settings. Subscription records: kept as long as your subscription is active and afterwards as required by accounting and tax law. Analytics events (if opted in): aggregated and retained for up to 24 months.
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, or another jurisdiction with data-protection law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Türkiye: Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu — KVKK).
Most of these rights you can exercise yourself inside the app: use Settings → Export my reflections to download your data, and Settings → Delete all data to erase it.
Hush is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Some processors (Apple, analytics providers) may transfer data to the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
The app uses HTTPS for all network communication. Local journal data is stored using your device's standard encrypted storage. Optional Face ID / Touch ID / passcode lock can be enabled in Settings.
Hush is a reflective journaling tool. It is not a medical device, not a substitute for therapy, and not a crisis service. If you are in crisis, please contact a local helpline:
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date will change. Substantive changes will be surfaced in-app. Continued use of Hush after a change means you accept the updated policy.
